T-shirt Prank

Jami and I went shopping together last week and ended up buying the same shirt for our hubby's. We thought it would be so funny if we could get them to wear the shirt on the same day to sometime. It worked out this past weekend at a potluck. I agree with Jami, the looks on their faces when they saw what the other one was wearing were priceless! Check out the picture at the bottom of this post on Jami's blog.

So while I was gone to scuba on Sunday last week, Nate went on a little shopping spree at the Running Room in town. He bought some new shoes, new running socks, new running shorts and a new running t-shirt.

Now you may think, like I did, why do you need special clothes to go running in. Well I guess they wick the moisture away from your skin, especially the socks. If Nate doesn't wear good running socks he gets really bad blisters while he runs which usually break open and bleed before he is done with the run.

That evening Nate confessed to me that when he was a little boy he liked to dress up in tights and cape and run around like superman. He said he loved the feeling he got when he wore the outfit, that the outfit really made him feel like a superhero. He said that he gets the same feeling when he puts on his running clothes.

He has been a bit stressed out at work lately so I made this photo to cheer him up.

Misc. Pictures and Ladies Craft Night

My favorite kinds of Jelly Bellys

One of the rabbits, it is in the neighbor's yard though.

What to do with celery if you want it really crisp, put in a jar of cold water and put it in the fridge.

Ladies Craft night in May. We had a great turn out, 11 ladies, for the plant exchange.

Sandy brought some beautiful Verbena.

All the Ladies

Lucy wanted to join in the fun

Grandpa helped the us get the pots back to our cars after we were done.

My finished pots

Inside for dessert!

I Passed

I passed my pool diving for scuba. I was able to do all of my skills and did fine on the written test as well. Now I just need to do my open water dive and I will be certified.

Nate wants to go somewhere and do some scuba diving, but no plans as of yet!

I took my first of 4 days of scuba lessons.

I am tired out and it was more work than I thought it would be.

We spent the morning in class, 3 other students and myself. Two 13 year-old twin boys and a 19 year-old girl. Nate joined us for the pool session later in the day as a refresher since he has not done any diving since he was certified six years ago.

It was fun but a bit scary, you don't realize how much pressure is on you even in 15 feet of water. My ears needed to be equalized the whole way down.

Anyways, it went well today and hope tomorrow does too. Then I have another weekend where we actually do open water diving in Blackwater Falls, WI.

Pictures from Ty's Wedding

I know these pictures are up horribly late, almost a month and a half now since the wedding, but here they are.
I also have high resolution versions of the family pictures if you want them.
